Afternoon Tea for IBS Sufferers 10th August

Updated: Jul 31

We are delighted to announce on 10th August, Uniquely Created Nutrition and Health (UCU) will be hosting an afternoon tea event at our offices in Blisworth, Northampton, focusing on IBS and gut health.

IBS affects approximately 1 in 20 of us in the UK, that is 3.2 million people. If you’re not affected by IBS yourself, it is likely you have friends or family members who are.

Guests can enjoy delicious gluten free and vegan delights as part of the selection of afternoon tea, whilst taking in accessible, informative presentations that UCU hope will inspire people to either seek official diagnosis for problems they face, or better deal with the conditions that they know they have. Dr Nicholas Peat, UCU Co-Founder says:

“It is vastly unknown to many just how common IBS and gut health issues are. What many people may write off as ‘that food doesn’t suit me’ or ‘I wonder why I have pains in my stomach’ or ‘why do I need to rush to the toilet so often’ - will often in fact be symptoms of an undiagnosed medical ailment relating to your gut and/or digestion. It is vital that these symptoms are not ignored and you find out what is wrong, and how best to treat it, in order to lead a healthier, happier and more comfortable life.”

Dr Nicholas will be the opening speaker at the event and will share his own inspirational journey. He is a registered General Medical Practitioner with expertise in Nutritional Medicine and will be sharing his personal experiences of suffering with IBS, Crohn’s disease, and how to differentiate IBS from other bowel conditions.

There will also be an array of guest speakers from the industry such as our Gut health specialist dietician Colette Kirk, who will be sharing her expert knowledge and guidance to those suffering with IBS.

Vanessa Peat is the other Co-founding Director of UCU, a Performance Nutritionist and Registered Associate Nutritionist, who will also be sharing her personal experiences of suffering with stress related IBS.

Tickets price has been slashed from £85 to just £35.

Quickly grab yourself a seat while tickets are still available.

The event will run from 12-4pm and guests can expect to receive one free entry into the raffle, free gifts and free IBS resources.

You will come away armed with a great deal more knowledge on health and nutrition.
